J. Fletcher Creamer Proudly Sponsors Team Hope at the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

At J. Fletcher Creamer, we believe in supporting causes that matter to our employees and the communities we serve. This year, we are again proud to sponsor Team Hope in their participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the nation’s largest event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Led by Michele Platz, a Payroll Support Specialist at Creamer, Team Hope has been involved in this important event since 2009. Each year, the team walks with a shared goal—to see a future without Alzheimer’s. Creamer’s continued support is evident in sponsoring the team and providing purple tote bags for donations of $25 or more.

Michele Platz expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support received: “On behalf of my team and I, we would like to thank everyone for their support. This year we proudly raised $11,723.00, making us the second-place team for fundraising in our chapter. A big shout-out to Team Hope for their dedication and to everyone who joined the walk or donated. We had the largest team we’ve ever had, and each person was truly invested in the cause.”

Alzheimer’s and dementia have touched many lives within Team Hope. Michele herself lost her mother-in-law to Alzheimer’s in 2022. The commitment to raising awareness and funds comes from a deeply personal place for many walkers.

One of the highlights of this year’s fundraising efforts was Joe Vagueiro Jr., who took the initiative to visit Creamer o and collected an additional $1,285.00 in donations. This kind of teamwork and dedication shows the collective strength of Creamer employees and their commitment to making a difference.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is not just a fundraising event—it’s a movement to support those affected by this devastating disease and to invest in the research necessary to find a cure. We encourage everyone to visit alz.org for more information about Alzheimer’s and to consider participating in the fight against this disease.

As Michele aptly put it, even if you cannot donate, simply taking the time to learn about Alzheimer’s can make a difference. We thank every member of Team Hope and everyone who contributed for making this year’s walk a resounding success. Your generosity, empathy, and support mean the world to us and to the countless families affected by Alzheimer’s.

Let’s continue to walk together for a future without Alzheimer’s.
