Assistant Controller

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Creamer is currently looking for a financial leader for the day to day functions of our accounting department with an emphasis on internal controls, SOX compliance, and public company accounting & reporting

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting or related field

5+ years experience in public accounting setting

Experiencing managing others (AP, AR, Payroll Department) 

Experience in construction industry preferred

Advanced knowledge in Excel

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Union knowledge preferred

Responsibilities:

Day to Day Responsibilities related to:

  • Internal Controls
  • SOX Compliance 
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Lease Accounting
  • General Ledger maintenance
  • Assist in quarterly & monthly closing (financial & mgmt. reporting)
  • Payroll tax fillings
  • Job cost analysis
