In the spirit of the holiday season, J Fletcher Creamer & Son demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community service by partnering with Operation Kindness NJ to bring smiles to the faces of young patients in the cancer wing at the Children’s Hospital of Hackensack University Medical Center.
During a Town Hall meeting in November, Creamer encouraged its leaders to contribute new, unwrapped toys for children undergoing treatments at the hospital. The response was overwhelming, with a multitude of donations pouring in.
An effort like this requires a lot of in-house cooperation and coordination. Luckily Creamer has dedicated employees like Scott Vande Vrede and Chris Schubert to spearhead this initiative. Joining them to deliver the donations were Creamer President Marty Downs Jr., Erin Smith, and Jason Cardenosa. “Creamer is committed to their partnership with Operation Kindness NJ and is looking to partner for more opportunities to give back in the coming year” said Chris Schubert.
Marty Downs and the Creamer team personally delivered books, toys, and blankets to the hospital. The gifts, intended for the children, also provide solace to the parents and siblings who bear the emotional weight during their loved ones’ hospital stays.
The collaboration between J Fletcher Creamer & Son and Operation Kindness NJ not only reflects the company’s philanthropic spirit but also underscores the power of collective action in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
Creamer is always looking for additional local and national causes to support. Employees are encouraged to bring any and all suggestions to Jason Cardenosa and Chris Schubert at [email protected].
